Committees

There are 2 Advisory Committees, 3 Board Committees, & the Board

Construction/Planting Committee: Meet regularly with a representative of the St. Paul Parks design group to review garden design procedures, schedules, budget, and maintenance issues. Implement small projects and identify site maintenance issues. Organize planting design, planting, and ongoing garden care events when needed.

Fundraising Committee: Meet monthly to identify funding opportunities, apply for grants, organize project fundraisers, galas, etc.

Outreach Committee: Meet monthly to organize PR, publish a newsletter, develop a membership structure, involve Schools, organizations, and partner with local Chinese and Hmong events. Develop cultural events, and programing to education the community about the China Garden “Liu Ming Yuan”.

Cultural events include: Chinese New Year Celebration, Annual Poetry Contest, and Annual Moon Festival.
